Simon Vye, Chief Executive Officer

As Chief Executive Officer Simon leads the management team in delivering value to our customers.

Simon is a senior executive within the European Telecommunications industry with many years of international experience and he joins Telstra Europe from AT&T where he was Director of European Headquartered Global Accounts. Before that, Simon was the Managing Director of COLT Telecommunications responsible for the UK, Scandinavia and Benelux, restructuring and focusing the business and driving high growth.

Pete Hall, Vice President – Wholesale Sales

Pete is responsible for the Wholesale and Service Provider division - working to maximise the utilisation of Telstra’s award-winning global network by other Licensed operators and Service Providers, throughout Europe and across the World.

Pete has a strong track record in sales, marketing and leadership, and has held a number of senior roles in the industry.  Previous roles include Director of Sales for COLT Telecom plc where he was a member of the group leadership team and prior to that, Head of Wholesale. Prior to COLT, Pete spent eight years with Energis where he held a number of senior roles, latterly as Head of Carrier Sales.

Peter Hase, Chief Marketing Officer

Peter is responsible for ensuring that Telstra clearly understands the needs of our customers and delivers products which answer those needs. Peter has over 20 years’ experience in our markets and has worked in the US and Europe building various managed services propositions.

Steve Day, Chief Technical Officer

Steve is responsible for delivering exceptional service quality and reliability through optimum systems and networks.

Steve has over 25 years’ experience in the industry working in Europe, The United States, Australia and Japan, delivering communications services to the business market. In Steve’s most recent role he worked with the Liberty Global Group leading technology teams for the business services and residential offerings. Before this he held senior technology positions with Global One, Sprint International and Optus.

Terry Hart, Chief Financial Officer

Terry runs our Financial Systems team and all the reporting elements of our company.

Terry has considerable experience in senior finance roles for companies operating internationally. Previous roles include UK Finance Director then UK Managing Director at Easynet where he managed the company through a period of high growth and transition. Prior to that he held senior finance positions at Williams Lea and Serco and he trained as a Chartered Accountant at BDO.

Matt Gould, General Counsel

Matt is responsible for all legal, personnel and corporate governance issues in Telstra Europe.

Matt is a solicitor with over 10 years’ experience in the telecoms industry, having worked both in private practice and in industry. Previous roles include European legal counsel for First Telecom. He has been a principal advisor to a number of alternative telecoms companies including MFS Communications and WorldCom.

Murray Hankinson, Director - Corporate Development & Strategic Marketing

Murray is responsible for the strategic & corporate development of Telstra Europe.
 
He has 15 years of broad international telecoms and media experience in the UK, Australasia and the United States.
Focused on M&A, business development, corporate finance, investment management and strategy he has worked for Telstra International, Telstra Corporation and Consolidated Press Holdings.
 
Murray qualified as a chartered accountant with PriceWaterhouseCoopers and is a lawyer.
